The Kass Lab at the Department of Medicine Retreat - Sumita and Brian win awards

The Kass lab was well represented at the 2020 Department of Medicine and Whiting School of Engineering Retreat. Mark, Sumita, and Brian all presented their latest research.


Dr. Mark Ranek gave a talk on on his TSC2 phosphorylation research entitled "A single serine puts the freeze on heart disease" during the Spotlight on Research segment.


Drs. Sumita Mishra and Brian Lin presented posters on their work on PDE9 inhibition in metabolic heart disease and TRPC6 inhibition in dystrophic heart disease, respectively. Both were nominees for the W. Leigh Thompson Excellence in Research Award, and Brian winning the award.
