Brittany's PhD study titled "Single serine on TSC2 exerts biased control over mTORC1 activation mediated by ERK1/2 but not Akt" is just out at Life Science Alliance. This study shows how 1 serine on TSC2 modifies ERK but not Akt stimulated mTOR. A control knob for selective mTOR activation with therapy implications. Great job by the Kass Lab mTOR team!
